Lift Up Clayton Inc, The Single Parent Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded September 2015 inspired by founder, Yvonne Norris lived experience as a single mom as a sole parent of two daughters, and one son. She was driven by recognizing the huge need in her own community of Atlanta, Ga, that she felt compelled to create a program specifically for working single mom’s in her area who fall into the invisible gap of lacking a meaningful support system and a financial safety net. It started with the idea to adopt single parents for Thanksgiving and Christmas and  buy Christmas gifts for the single parent families who wasn't able to provide for their families for the holidays.  She felt compelled by this knowing the truth that often single parents do not have gifts under the tree for their kids… It has been  Yvonne’s vision to make a social investment that aligned with her coaching and consulting business to uplift the women who have lived and struggled in many of the same ways as I had as a working single mom. She wanted to share the tools, knowledge and experiences used mentoring and supporting her clients to inspire, empower and enhance the quality of life for the working single mom so she can connect to her purpose and flourish as a woman in her role as mom, co-worker and community member. We provide support groups, classes, conferences, and community events like our Single Parent Family Community Christmas Party.
